Communication

Last night I was watching tv. On this tv show, this kid was talking to his friend, but only saying one word. He changed his pitch, tone, and volume and his friend understood what he was saying because of the fluctuation. We listened to one of these in class a couple of weeks ago, and I thought this was another neat example.

Communication

This is my first blog that is connected to communication issues.

Last night when I was driving home from weight lifting at Mo West, I was listening to Love Line with Dr. Drew on 96.5 the buzz. It's a show where people call in to ask Doctor Drew, his co-host stryker, and any special guest they have on, questions about gender, sex, std's, drugs, life problems, depression, etc.

One male caller was on and was talking about his friend. The way communication deals into this story is that the caller described his friend as having girl companions and woman companions. In saying both girl and woman, the listeners do not need further explanation. Listeners know that a girl is a female until the age of 20-22, after that females are often called women.
